Positive: Alissa was very friendly and very helpful. Great location. The food was excellent. Negative: The bed sagged. The TV was difficult to operate and kept freezing.

Kodiak is for fishing, bear watching, and drinking beer. Positive: They were very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and they allowed us to store our suitcases at the restaurant. They also cleaned our room early so we could get in earlier. Negative: We were not clear on how “out there” Kodiak is. Groceries are expensive and not readily available. Restaurants were few but good.

Great stay with few buts Positive: Central location, walking distance from the ferry terminal (ferry from the mainland), washer and dryer are available for extra charge, restaurant available downstairs (same owner), the apartment was clean and comfortable. Negative: A lot of noisy homeless in the immediately adjacent parking lot, need more kitchen items (pots, frying pans), the cancellation policy is very strict and there are no waivers even for unforeseen circumstances (ferry cancellation due to storm) - which was a disappointment.
